1.Prep Crockpot by either spraying with Pam or using a Crockpot liner.

2.Open the kidney beans, canella beans and corn then, dump into a colander. Rinse well and     strain well. Then add to Crockpot

3.Open the canned tomatos and dump into Crockpot. DO NOT STRAIN THE

4.Add Tomato paste to crock pot

5.Add seasoning. I usually start with a tablespoon of each and mix really well and then taste test from there. Everyone likes their chili                     different so just give it a shot!

Rolled Oats

One of the biggest challenges I face as a mom is making sure I eat healthy meals. Having quick recipes is important to me and I hope you will find benefits from them too!

Eating oats in the morning is good for  your metabolism because your body is required to burn lots of calories to break them down. Add as much as you can to make it more nutritious for you.  My personal favorite is oatmeal with peanut butter, cinnamon and pecans.

Here’s the recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Oats
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 TBS Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 TBS cinnamon
  • 6-8 Pecans

  • In a microwave safe bowl add the oats and water
  • Place in microwave and cook on 50% power for 3 1/2 minutes. Please note: The bowl will be HOTT!!!!
  • Once finished cooking add the peanut butter, cinnamon and pecans
  • Mix well and serve

You can add all kinds of things to your oats to make them healthier for you! Other things I like to add are fruits and honey.

Let me know how your oats turn out! I’d also like to hear what you add to yours for a quick and healthy breakfast!

Thanks Everyone
