One of the biggest challenges I face as a mom is making sure I eat healthy meals. Having quick recipes is important to me and I hope you will find benefits from them too!
Eating oats in the morning is good for your metabolism because your body is required to burn lots of calories to break them down. Add as much as you can to make it more nutritious for you. My personal favorite is oatmeal with peanut butter, cinnamon and pecans.
Here’s the recipe
1/2 Cup Oats
1 Cup Water
2 TBS Peanut Butter
1/2 TBS cinnamon
In a microwave safe bowl add the oats and water
Place in microwave and cook on 50% power for 3 1/2 minutes. Please note: The bowl will be HOTT!!!!
Once finished cooking add the peanut butter, cinnamon and pecans
Mix well and serve
You can add all kinds of things to your oats to make them healthier for you! Other things I like to add are fruits and honey.
